How active directory users are counted

Active directory users are the users synced from your connected identity providers (Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, Okta). Specifically:
  • Users who appear in your IdP directory and are in an active state
  • Synced when you connect or refresh your SSO integration
  • Count is updated each time a directory sync runs
What doesn’t count toward your bill:
  • Deprovisioned or suspended users in your IdP
  • Service accounts and non-human identities
  • Users in connected IdPs who are explicitly excluded from sync
  • Porcia workspace members who aren’t in a connected IdP

Free trial

All new workspaces start with a 14-day free trial on the Standard plan. No credit card required. Full access to every feature. At the end of the trial, your workspace moves to the Standard plan automatically if you’ve added a payment method. If not, some features are limited until you subscribe.

Billing cycle

Monthly: Charged on the same day each month based on your active user count at billing time. Annual: Charged once upfront for the year at a discounted rate. Usage is based on your active user count at the time of renewal. To switch billing cycles, go to Settings → Billing → Subscription.

Discounts

Pay upfront for the year instead of monthly. The discount applies to the full annual amount at checkout.

Organizations above 2,000 active directory users are on custom Enterprise pricing. Contact sales@porcia.org.

What happens at the 50-user minimum

If your active directory user count is below 50, you’re still billed at the $200/month floor. This covers orgs with fewer than 50 employees using a full identity provider. If you have fewer than 50 employees and connect an IdP, all users are covered by the floor price — you won’t pay more until you exceed 50 active users.

Payment methods

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Annual plans: ACH bank transfer available on request
  • Enterprise: purchase orders and NET 30 invoicing available
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Porcia never stores card details.

Cancellation

Cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription.
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Data is retained for 30 days after cancellation
  • After 30 days, all workspace data is permanently deleted
  • Export your data before cancelling if you need it
