How active directory users are counted

Billing is based on the active users in your connected identity providers (Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, Okta), updated as directory syncs run. Porcia workspace members who aren’t in a connected identity provider don’t count.

Free trial

All new workspaces start with a 14-day free trial on the Standard plan. No credit card required. Trial access follows the features and limits available to the workspace. At the end of the trial, your workspace moves to the Standard plan automatically if you’ve added a payment method. If not, some features are limited until you subscribe.

Billing cycle

Plans are billed monthly, on the same day each month. The active user count is set at each renewal, so people who join or leave during a month change the next bill, not the current one. To update your payment method or download invoices, open the billing portal from Settings → Billing.

Organizations above 2,000 active directory users are on custom Enterprise pricing. Contact [email protected].

What happens at the 50-user minimum

If your active directory user count is below 50, you’re still billed at the $200/month floor. This covers orgs with fewer than 50 employees using a full identity provider. If you have fewer than 50 employees and connect an IdP, all users are covered by the floor price — you won’t pay more until you exceed 50 active users.

Payment methods

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)
  • Enterprise: purchase orders and NET 30 invoicing available
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Porcia never stores card details.

Cancellation

Cancel at any time from the billing portal in Settings → Billing.
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • Workspace data is then kept for 30 days in case you resubscribe
  • After that, the workspace is suspended. Support can restore it for 90 days, and its data is then permanently deleted
  • Export your data before cancelling if you need it
